1. Printer fails to operate when power is on.

Is AC input voltage normal?

120V version: 85 - 138V

230V version: 187 - 276V

Use the correct AC input voltage.

No fluctuation from AC voltage range is

permitted.

YES

Are the fuses F1 on

C229PSB/PSE blown?

Replace the fuse.

Is the new fuse also blown when

power is turned on again?

Measure the +35V line at pin 7

or 8 of CN2 on C229PSB/PSE.

Is output voltage

normal?

Replace the C229

PSB/PSE.

Measure the +5V line at pin 3 or 4

of CN2 on C229PSB/PSE.

Is output voltage

normal?

Replace the C229

PSB/PSE.

Verify each motor and printhead solenoid

resistance,referring to Table 3-1 and Table 3-2.

Are the resistance

normal?

Replace the applied

unit.

Replace the C229MAIN.
