in this circuit

noticed an

increase in

signal

strength on the meter

my tuner when the antenna was connected.

However, I also noticed an annoying

multi -

path problem

due to people,

metal chairs,

and anything else

in the room.

Tuning the

transmission

line with aluminum

foil was no

help at all.

With a

little

experimenting,

I found that

dropped

20" of

each end

of the antenna

at a 90° angle to the plane of the antenna,

I not only eliminated the

multipath,

I also

obtained a tremendous

increase

gain.

Now

tuning

meter pegs even on weak stations.
