5-26 Disassembly, Assembly, and Adjustment Rev. A
The following is the installation procedure:
1. Attach {FFC} to {thermal head} so that the surface of {FFC} with text printed on it is facing
the {plate-spring press}.
2. Place {thermal head} in its installation position inside the printer.
3. Insert the two {spring-press heads} onto the two {plate-spring press} dowels.
4. Place {plate-spring press} in its installation position.
5. Insert the two {spring-press heads} into the groove of {thermal head}.
6. While holding the two {spring-press heads} so they do not fly out, install {plate-spring
press}.
CAUTION:
Be sure to hold the two {spring-press heads} while installing {plate-spring press}.
Otherwise, {spring-press head} may suddenly fly out, creating the danger of eye
injury.
When installing {plate-spring press}, align it with the two cutting places on {frame assembly}
as shown in the illustration below.
7. Adjust the two {spring-press heads} so they are perpendicular with {thermal head}.
8. Install {strengthen plate-frame} and secure it with the three {CBS-tite M3x5} screws.
