I/F Circuit Board Assembly
This printer uses a TM Series universal interface, which allows support of a variety of different
interfaces by changing the interface board.
I/F Circuit Board Assembly Types
❏ EIA-TIA RS-232 Interface (built into TM-T88)
❏ IEEE 1284 Interface (built into TM-T88P)
❏ EIA/TIA RS-485 Interface (option)
Interface Board Structure
The I/F circuit board assembly has the following built-in electrical circuits:
❏ Reset circuit (except RS-485 interface)
❏ Host interface circuit
For details on each type of interface, see the interface board circuit diagrams in the appendix at
the end of this document.
Switchboard B
Switchboard set B has the following built-in electrical circuits:
❏ Paper feed switch
❏ LED (power, error, roll paper out)
❏ Receipt mechanism interface (wired junction only)
