Level 2 Disassembly and Assembly
Cover-frame assembly block
1. Remove {spring-shutter}.
2. Remove the four {CBS-tite M3x5} and then {cover-roll paper}.
3. While peeling off the back seal, remove {label-handling-BA}.
4. While opening {shutter blade assembly}, detach the two tabs and then remove {fixed blade}.
CAUTION:
Be careful because {fixed blade} is equipped with a sharp blade. Handle it with
care.
Note:
Note that {fixed blade} must be oriented correctly when installed.
During installation, insert {fixed blade} under the two {spring-fixed blade holders}.
5. Remove the two {spring-fixed blade holders} by detaching the tabs and then sliding the
holders off.
Note:
Take care not to bend or twist the two {spring-fixed blade holders}.
During installation, make sure the two {spring-fixed blade holders} are securely locked in place
by the tabs.
6. Remove the single {RE 2.5} retaining ring, and then remove {platen assembly} and {shaft
holder-platen}.
Note:
Note that {shaft holder, platen} must be oriented correctly when installed. See the illustration
below for correct orientation.
